Research & Evaluation
Sally Stanley, Research Associate at the Center heads the research team and has acted as co-chair along with Richard P. Enfield, Youth Development Advisor of a collaborative workgroup of individuals from the University of California, the Sacramento County Department of Education, the YMCA, California Parks and Recreation and CSU Northridge. The group came together in an attempt to encourage models of positive youth typically listed under "asset" building, resiliency, or communities of promise. The workgroup is currently researching and documenting the establishment of two grass root approaches in San Luis Obispo County and Santa Clara County that are focused on positive youth development models. As part of the project, youth are photographing positive and negative aspects of their environment, which will be displayed to the community at large. The group is also helping to support the development of two new networks in Los Angeles County (Pasadena) and Stanislaus County (Modesto).
